In our hectic, technology-driven society, many of us have forgotten how to deeply relax and give our nervous systems the break they need to keep us healthy and at ease.
Over time, this continued state of chronic over-stress, also known as “fight or flight,” can unbalance the body/mind and lead to a myriad of health problems and diseases.
Fortunately, Restorative yoga can help bring us back into balance.
Join Yoga Pura teacher Laura Goethe to fully explore the depths of this deeply rejuvenating practice. In this training, you will learn:
• The inner workings of the nervous system and how it gets thrown out of balance.
• The correct way to perform and receive the benefits of each posture of Restorative yoga, using blankets, blocks, and other props to set up each pose for deep relaxation.
• Simple meditative techniques to quiet the mind, allow the body to relax fully, and help the nervous system “stand down” from fight or flight.
• How to sequence a class for yourself or your students.
No experience necessary. This training is for students who wish to dive deeply into the practice of Restorative yoga as well as current and aspiring yoga teachers.
This training counts for 16 hours of CE credit with Yoga Alliance.
