Finding time for fitness, family fun and a chance to relax can be a challenge. That’s why we've rolled them all into one in this fun and practical Family Yoga class!

In this 60-minute session, children will be encouraged to explore self-awareness and self-regulation while building confidence, self-esteem and an increased ability to focus and concentrate.

Through yoga poses, games and beginner-level forms of meditation and relaxation, this unique class will create a space for families to connect and learn healthy habits that last a lifetime.

You will leave with practical tools to use at home and at school to create greater peace and happiness in your life.

All ability levels welcome—no prior yoga experience necessary! Recommended age for children: 4-10 yrs.

Intro to Tai Chi

Join us to discover the ancient martial arts practice of Tai Chi! 

Tai Chi was initially practiced as a form of fighting, emphasizing balance, strength, speed, and flexibility. 

It has evolved into what we know today as a soft, slow, and gentle form of exercise which can be practiced nearly everyone, even children and older adults.

Some of the benefits of regular practice include:

  • Better balance 

  • Increased muscle strength

  • Better quality of sleep.

  • Improved cognition. 

 

Join Master Teacher Tamara Kaneen, from 9 Dragons Kung Fu, for this special workshop where you’ll learn a comprehensive overview of basic Tai Chi concepts and practice a beginner-level series of movements.

 

No experience is necessary. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water.

February Candlelight Flow
